Consultant Nuclear Supply Chain

N2024112/CS

Position

In the Netherlands, we are faced with the challenge of making our energy system CO2 neutral. In an energy landscape with a rapidly increasing demand for electricity, nuclear energy can contribute to diversification of the energy portfolio and ensuring security of supply. In addition to solar and wind, the Netherlands is therefore focusing on nuclear energy. The government is currently preparing for the construction of two new nuclear power plants in Borssele and has plans for two more new nuclear power plants. The expansion of nuclear capacity with smaller modular reactors (SMRs) for industrial clusters, among others, is also being discussed. In addition, NRG PALLAS has started the construction of a new research reactor to produce medical isotopes. These developments may offer all kinds of opportunities for the Dutch industry. Partly due to the construction of the PALLAS reactor, NRG has a good picture of the existing Dutch nuclear supply chain.

As a Nuclear Supply Chain Consultant, you will contribute to the development of the Dutch industry for nuclear construction projects. You will be in contact with potential technology suppliers and gain insight into their needs. In addition, you will develop and maintain a network of possible suppliers, contractors, and installation companies for these future nuclear reactors. You bring technology suppliers and Dutch industry closer together. You advise companies on what is required to qualify as a nuclear supplier and support them in reaching this level.

Team

You will be working within the Nuclear New Build team, which focuses on facilitating nuclear new build projects. A new team with the ambition to grow. With your knowledge and experience, you not only strengthen the team, you also help to realize this growth. The issues involved in new nuclear new build projects are very diverse, which is why the team works closely with other expertise teams within NRG.

Do you recognize yourself in this profile and do you want to contribute to making the Dutch energy system more sustainable and future-proof? Then we’d love to hear from you!
