Consultant Nuclear Supply Chain
N2024112/CSPosition
In the Netherlands, we are faced with the challenge of making our energy system CO2 neutral. In an energy landscape with a rapidly increasing demand for electricity, nuclear energy can contribute to diversification of the energy portfolio and ensuring security of supply. In addition to solar and wind, the Netherlands is therefore focusing on nuclear energy. The government is currently preparing for the construction of two new nuclear power plants in Borssele and has plans for two more new nuclear power plants. The expansion of nuclear capacity with smaller modular reactors (SMRs) for industrial clusters, among others, is also being discussed. In addition, NRG PALLAS has started the construction of a new research reactor to produce medical isotopes. These developments may offer all kinds of opportunities for the Dutch industry. Partly due to the construction of the PALLAS reactor, NRG has a good picture of the existing Dutch nuclear supply chain.
As a Nuclear Supply Chain Consultant, you will contribute to the development of the Dutch industry for nuclear construction projects. You will be in contact with potential technology suppliers and gain insight into their needs.
